Green is the color of money.
Taking advantage of opportunities in business is usually smart. However, taking advantage of an unsuspecting public is unethical. There are many companies pushing a "green agenda" only because they stand to make a ton of money. This Wall Street Journal article explains my concerns very well.

Invalid climate change forecasts
I recently found a paper titled "Validity of Climate Change Forecasting for Public Policy Decision Making " (by Kesten C. Green, J. Scott Armstrong and Willie Soon). This paper reviews whether climate change forecasts are useful or not from a statistical perspective. In these tough economic times, it makes no sense to be spending money needlessly or making useless investments. This paper hypothesizes that climate change forecasts are not useful and then they justify/support their claims. It can be found here:

Wasting money on things have have no return...financial, social or environmental does not make sense.

I ran into a site that shows many world statistics in a graphic form per each country. The statistics include health, weather, social, business and technology. It can be found at: worldmapper.org

It is all connected
Gas prices are finally coming down. To most people that is a good thing. Falling gas prices also bring quite a number of other effects...many that we may not realize. This story from Time Magazine gives us a few ideas on how seemingly unrelated things really are connected.

It is interesting that the hurricanes that LA and TX saw had an impact on gas (mainly for the southeast US), but the country has comeback from that weather interruption.
